School History

marshall_exterior_1Marshall School, originally called Eagle Point School, is situated in the historic Point area in Dubuque near the Mississippi River, Eagle Point park, and Lock & Dam #11. Named for former Chief Justice John Marshall, the first Marshall School was the second school built in the Dubuque Community School District and was situated where the playground now stands. The current school opened its doors in 1940 and is a K-5 public school building within the Dubuque Community School District.
